As part of our ongoing effort to better communicate with our graduate brothers, the
House Corporation Board (HCB) has sponsored this web site to keep you informed,
updated and educated to events happening at 303 Ellis.
We hope you enjoy this web site, as we pledge to bring to you news of current chapter
events, and of course, news from our graduate chapter.
As many of you are now aware, our chapter in Iowa City has been closed. Recent events,
detailed on this website, left no choice for the Graduate Trustee's of Mu Deuteron, the
House Corporation Board, and more importantly, Phi Gamma Delta International
Headquarters. This painful decision leaves Phi Gamma Delta without an undergraduate
presence on campus, a likely scenario for up to 5 years.
Many of you have questions about what happened, what will happen to the chapter house,
and most importantly, what the future holds for Phi Gamma Delta on the campus of the
University of Iowa.
As of late September 2005, the Mu Deuteron Graduate Board of Trustee's and the House
Corporation Board were working several issues relating to the closure of the chapter,
ensuring the orders handed down from International Headquarters were strictly adhered
to. With most security issues now taken care of, the focus will turn to maintaining our
property at 303 Ellis, and looking to the day when recolonization will take place.
